Pick your target fish, turn on your location: bite chance, best time windows, a lure tip and spots near you.

Android app 1.2.0, 1.0 MB, Android 7 or later. Only asks for notifications when you turn them on.

How it works on Android

  1. Tap the download button. The file pescaday.apk lands in your downloads.
  2. Allow the install. Android asks once whether your browser may install apps: allow it, then install.
  3. Open it and tap the location button. The map and today's bite time are free in the app.

How it works on iPhone

  1. Open the quick finder in Safari. pescaday.com/en/app/
  2. Tap Share in the bar at the bottom.
  3. Choose “Add to Home Screen”. Pescaday then sits on your iPhone like an app and opens without the browser bar.

Message when the bite time is good: on iPhone this works from iOS 16.4 and only when you open Pescaday from your home screen. Tap “Notify me” there after your location, with a free account.

Does the app cost anything?

No. The app is free and has no ads, for Android and as a home screen app on iPhone.

Why is the app not in the Play Store?

We are still testing, so we offer the app directly on pescaday.com. The first time, Android asks whether you allow apps from this source. That is normal for apps outside the store.

Do I need an account?

No, the map and today's bite time work without one. With a free account you see fish records nearby and the bite time for 7 days, get a message in the evening when tomorrow looks good at your spot, share catches and keep your catch log on every device.

Is the file safe?

The app shows pescaday.com without the browser bar. It only asks for your location when you tap the button, and it stays on your device. It only asks for notifications when you tap “Notify me”. You can check the file like this:
