How to tie it
- Pass the end of the line about 15 cm through the eye.
- Lay the end back alongside the main line and form a loop next to it.
- Wrap the end 5 to 6 times through the loop around both strands of line.
- Pull on the end until the turns close into a tight coil.
- Wet the knot and slide it down to the eye by pulling on the main line. Trim the end.
Tip: If you leave the knot short of the eye, you get a small loop that lets lures move more freely.
Common mistakes
- The turns cross over each other as you tighten, so the knot gets messy and weaker.
- The knot is only pushed halfway to the eye and then slips during the fight.
